Feature spotlight: integrating Xero with Beyond

Integrating your accounting system with an existing Beyond account

Integrating Xero with an existing Beyond account is just as easy!

On your ‘actuals manager’ page, in the ‘accounting’ section, click the ‘connect new accounts’ button.

You’ll be asked which accounting system you want to connect with. Pick ‘Xero’ from the dropdown list, and you’ll be asked to log in to Xero. You’ll need to press ‘allow access’ to let Beyond see your actuals on Xero.

Next, you’ll be asked how far back you want to synchronise your data, and if you want to split your actuals so they can be assigned to different people – the same as when you’re creating a new account. There’s one extra question here, though – you can choose if you want any projects you’ve already set up to be tagged as belonging to your Xero company. (Which will save you a lot of work!)

The sync options for Beyond and Xero

Hit ‘sync data from Xero’ and Beyond will start pulling in all the data you’ve requested. Beyond will do all the work for you in the background, so you can work as normal while it’s bringing all the data in. When it’s finished, you’ll get a notification on the top-right corner of your screen, and you’ll get all of your actuals from Xero! Hurray!

Now that they’re in Beyond, you can assign them to users and plans, make sure they’re coming out of the right budgets, and get an accurate view of all of your finances at once.
